Why It Matters

Healthy Baby Teeth
Build Healthy Adult Teeth.

Many parents assume baby teeth do not matter because they fall out anyway. In fact, baby teeth are critically important — they hold space in the jaw for permanent teeth, support correct speech development, allow proper chewing and nutrition, and give children the confidence that comes from a healthy smile.

A child's experience at the dentist also sets the tone for their entire adult relationship with dental care. A gentle, positive first visit creates a child who is not afraid of the dentist — which is one of the greatest gifts you can give them.

What We Offer

Pediatric Dental Services at Our Clinic

Everything your child needs — from their first tooth to their teenage years — all at one trusted clinic in Hanamkonda.

First Dental Visit
0–2 years
We recommend bringing your child for their first visit when the first tooth appears, or by their first birthday at the latest. This is a gentle, exploratory visit — we count teeth, check development, and guide parents on cleaning routines. No drills, no anxiety.
Routine Check-Ups & Cleaning
All ages
Regular 6-monthly check-ups catch problems early when they are simplest and least expensive to treat. We clean the teeth, check for decay, assess jaw development, and give parents and children practical, personalised oral hygiene guidance.
Fluoride Treatment
2+ years
A professional fluoride varnish is applied to the tooth surfaces at check-up appointments. Fluoride strengthens enamel, makes teeth more resistant to acid attacks from bacteria, and significantly reduces the risk of decay — especially important during the years when permanent teeth are erupting.
Fissure Sealants
6–14 years
The deep grooves on the biting surfaces of back teeth are prime spots for decay to start — they are narrow, hard to clean, and trap food. A fissure sealant is a thin protective coating that flows into and seals these grooves, creating a smooth surface that brushes clean easily. Clinically proven to reduce decay in back teeth by up to 80%.
Tooth-Coloured Fillings
All ages
When a baby or permanent tooth develops a cavity, we restore it with a tooth-coloured composite filling that blends with the natural tooth. Baby teeth with cavities must be treated — untreated decay spreads, causes pain, and can affect the development of the permanent tooth underneath.
Orthodontic Assessment
7+ years
From around age 7–8, we begin monitoring jaw development and tooth alignment at routine visits. Early identification of crowding, bite problems, or jaw discrepancies allows us to plan intervention at exactly the right time — when it is most effective and least extensive.
Habit Counselling
3–7 years
Thumb sucking, prolonged dummy (pacifier) use, and tongue thrusting can affect jaw development and tooth alignment if they continue beyond a certain age. We provide gentle, evidence-based guidance to parents and children on how to address these habits without stress or shame.
Dental Emergencies
All ages
Children chip, crack, or knock out teeth far more often than adults. We prioritise emergency appointments for children and provide prompt, calm, and effective care — whether it is a cracked tooth, a knocked-out tooth, or a toothache that cannot wait.
Our Approach

How We Make Children Feel at Ease

Fear of the dentist almost always starts in childhood. We work hard to make sure it never starts here.

01
Tell, Show, Do
Before any procedure, we explain to the child what we are going to do, show them the instruments (which look far less scary when you know what they are for), and only then do we proceed. This approach eliminates surprise — the primary cause of dental fear in children.
02
We Work at the Child's Pace
We never rush a child or push them to do something they are not ready for. If a child needs extra time to feel comfortable, we give it. A successful first visit — even if nothing clinical is done — is far more valuable than a rushed procedure that creates lasting fear.
03
Positive Reinforcement
We celebrate every milestone — sitting in the chair, opening wide, a successful check-up — with genuine encouragement. Children respond powerfully to positive feedback. Leaving the clinic feeling proud makes the next visit something to look forward to, not dread.
04
Parents Always Welcome
Parents are always welcome in the clinic room. We involve parents in the consultation, explain findings to them clearly, and give practical at-home guidance. A well-informed parent is one of the most powerful tools in keeping a child's teeth healthy.
Dental Development

Your Child's Dental Milestones

A simple guide to what to expect — and when — from birth through to 18.

6 months
First baby tooth appears (usually a lower front incisor). Begin cleaning with a damp cloth or soft infant brush. First dental visit recommended.
1 year
Most children have 6–8 teeth. Book first dental check-up if not already done. Begin using a tiny smear of fluoride toothpaste.
2–3 years
All 20 primary (baby) teeth have usually erupted. Encourage independent brushing supervised by parents. Wean off bottles and dummies.
5–7 years
Baby teeth begin to fall out. First permanent molars appear around age 6. Fissure sealants recommended when these molars erupt.
7–8 years
Ideal age for first orthodontic assessment. Jaw development can be monitored and early issues identified.
11–13 years
Most permanent teeth have erupted, replacing baby teeth. Second molars erupt — another round of fissure sealants is recommended.
17–21 years
Wisdom teeth (third molars) begin to emerge. Monitoring and X-ray assessment to determine if removal is necessary.

Parents Ask

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions parents in Hanamkonda and Warangal most commonly ask us about children's dental care.

The ideal time is when the first tooth appears — usually around 6 months — or by the child's first birthday, whichever comes first. This early visit is simple and non-invasive: we check tooth development, guide parents on cleaning techniques, discuss diet, and establish a baseline. Starting early makes every future visit easier.
This is extremely common and something we handle every day. Call us before the appointment and let us know your child is anxious — this allows us to prepare the right approach. For very young or very anxious children, the first visit may simply involve sitting in the chair and counting teeth with no procedures at all. Building trust takes time, and we are completely willing to go at your child's pace.
Yes — absolutely. Decayed baby teeth cause pain and infection just like adult teeth, and untreated infection can damage the developing permanent tooth underneath. Baby teeth also hold space in the jaw for permanent teeth — if a baby tooth is lost too early due to decay, adjacent teeth can drift and block the space needed for the permanent tooth to erupt correctly.
For infants with no teeth yet, clean the gums with a soft damp cloth after feeding. Once teeth erupt, use a small soft-bristled toothbrush with a tiny smear (rice-grain size) of fluoride toothpaste — even for babies. By age 3, use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste. Brush for children until at least age 7, when they have the dexterity to do it properly themselves. Always supervise until around age 10.
A fissure sealant is a thin protective coating applied to the grooves of the back teeth — the areas most prone to decay. It is quick, completely painless, requires no anaesthesia, and dramatically reduces the risk of cavities in those teeth. We strongly recommend sealants when the first permanent molars erupt at around age 6, and again when the second molars appear around age 12.
It is not just the amount of sugar that matters — it is the frequency. Teeth come under acid attack every time sugar is consumed, and it takes 30–45 minutes for the mouth to recover. Constant snacking on sugary or starchy foods means teeth never fully recover between attacks. We recommend three structured mealtimes and limiting sugary snacks to mealtimes only — rather than reducing total sugar — as this is more practical and more effective for dental health.
